  • Not sure if anyone has played with this, is there any suggested amount of time that we should leave videos on for?

Speaking of WP management systems, InfiniteWP does NOT leave a footprint. Not as far as I can tell. Nothing is on the front end.

  • Visit your pages and check how the title appears in the title to verify that it isn’t shmooshing the site name with it.

I believe Andres said it won’t happen if you set the title area, though. I don’t set mine because I want the meta title to be the same as the article title.

  • Watched it from Frank’s mom’s.

    ;)

Also, we watched it from G+ – that’s the only way to be able to interact with the Q&A AFAIK.

  • Nice! I didn’t find the fix on that side.

I’m not sure if the original issue is Platinum SEO or TwentyTwelve, however, another option is to remove lines 197 through 231 in functions.php of TwentyTwelve

For what it’s worth, I wholly believe the heavy talk of SerpSpike is as much out of their own excitement as anything else. They have been busting their asses in testing and developing to make something that is better than what anyone else is doing – so they’re undoubtedly pretty psyched at the progress they’ve made.

Don’t get me wrong, I can t…[Read more]

@justinkunst , awesome reply! Definitely a few things I could implement more consistently. I haven’t tested certain things and haven’t realized just how helpful they are (like having that many citations, for example).

I’ve got a few questions for you, if you don’t mind elaborating.

What schema in particular are you adding?
    How are you…[Read more]

If you’re trying to rank a local client for terms that you can’t pick up with on-site SEO, then using a PBN or picking up authority links from a good, trusted, authority link vendor on here is the most systematic (and really, only) way I know of – and of course diversifying the anchor text while you’re doing that.

  • Unfortunately, I don’t think there would be a way to do that without it also setting the title when Goog visits it. AFIAK there is a way to set the page title using the ifram title via javascript, however, that would totally screw up your SEO.

  • Great points Matt!

Thats how I ‘felt’ about all of it. In the least, I couldn’t see them dropping juice – maybe just weakening.

Most of my anchor text diversity comes from FCS, but a good point nonetheless. They could be used for anchor text diversity if they dropped all their juice anyway.

Besides, half of this probably just to shake s…[Read more]

  • tim posted in the topic Google Map Embed for Local Pages in the forum SEO 10 years ago

Robnog, you should need a map code anymore. If you’re using the latest version of SS it has a map shortcode built in.

If you were using a code like the aforementioned then you’d replace {city} {state} with your city and state shortcodes, just like how you use them in on your SS page.

Thanks for the follow up. Yes the pages have videos on it.
I am looking for SEM_IA_core and not seeing it. Where would it be hiding? I tried using the search function and nothing showed up in the database. Is this the correct file? SEM_IA_core
    Thanks

  • At least, even if there is a problem, you really don’t need any SEM plugins enabled while using adsense now.

@tim Yes, I noticed that based on how many post there are there may be more than one meta at the bottom.
So that while its building it hangs.
The other thing i noticed is that if I change the category, it keeps building the same video database.
Anyone have a solution for that?

I’m not quite sure if I follow what you’re saying here.

What do you mean the “ground meta said there was 3 items”?

Jake also just noted that php 5.4+ is required, so you should probably start there!

  • tim posted in the topic CHOWN + CHMOD in the forum IndexAssault (IA) 10 years ago

You can normally adjust permissions easily enough through an FTP client or even on your host’s online file manager.

‘chown’ adjusts which user and group actually own the files though. That will require you to connect in via SSH, though, using terminal on a mac or putty on windows. Then in the comman line via SSH run chown -r -C user:usergroup…[Read more]

Interesting what he says about 25 mins in about sites targeting multiple locations… spam… :)

Multiple sites for multiple locations. Don’t scare me like that Δ9!

  • I’ve heard, vaguely, about this whole idea of orphan PBN’s and them becoming useless as a result of inactivity. I have a few domains up for renewal (decent PR2/3 DA20+ PA25-30+), however, some of them really haven’t been posted on all that often. The problem, is that they were used for some competitive test related sites that I dumped off…[Read more]

I’m interested as well. I’ve heard of others having brands go after them when using them to drive traffic. Do they have a legal standing? I don’t know. However, you and I don’t have the budget to find out.
I’d like to know where the line in the sand is or isn’t for this.
