I treat them just like regular money sites and just hit them with PBNs.
About a year ago, they used to be spammable but that stopped being effective.

A PBN minisite is nothing more than a site made to look like one that means business built on top of an aged domain that has juice.
Google has four alternatives:Do nothing
Crack down on sites that mean business
Yank juice upon expiration
De-index the people who they catch faking it.
I submit to you that 1 and…

Hey Folks,
Probably the biggest topic right now, especially if you own a PBN is Google’s big de-indexing spree that has been affecting pretty much everyone, whether you’re a major network or a homegrown PBN. Many interesting discussions on this topic can be found here: http://www.nohatdigital.com/blog/pbn-sites-de-indexed

Matt Diggity posted in the topic Want to redirect a clients penalised site to a new one in the forum SEO 10 years, 2 months ago
Hi Richard,
You could try a double redirect. I have a colleague of the black hat camp, that is constantly trying new voodoo and destroying some sites, while also ranking the hell out of others. When he kills a site, he simply redirects it to one intermediate domain, and then redirects that domain to the target one. He’s been doing this fo…[Read more]

Good niche… one of my friends is in it already. It’s trending right now so conversions are easy.
However, there’s some dirty players in the niche for sure. Lots of negative SEO going on.

If its for pillowing and sending your non-critical anchors to your site, an inner-page link will still serve it’s purpose of diversification. But like others said, it won’t have the juice a homepage link would.
Many people purchase, “permanent links” that scroll off the homepage instead of renting homepage links for this purpose. You pay l…[Read more]

Alchemy gave you some good advice how to get a site indexed fast. If that doesn’t work, then Google doesn’t like something.
One other thing to try is moving hosts. Many times, Google doesn’t like an IP for some reason. Maybe some other holligans on the same IP caused some trouble. If I have an indexing issue, 99% of the time its the IP. Th…[Read more]

All links are on the homepage and remain there for the duration of the subscription. No scroll-offs. No B.S.

Just to add to the conversation, I’m seeing the same things lately as Steve on my personal sites; especially the ones with domain age < 1 year.
To cope with the lack of reaction, I’ve simply adjusted my game plan to start building links as soon as possible and doing more site duplication so there’s always a site coming down the pipeline.…[Read more]

Steve hit it right when it comes to local. Typical its so easy that you don’t need to use target keywords, and if you do, just pillow with PBNs.
When it comes to high competition global searches, though, its a legitimate area of concern. Typically, the idea behind pillowing is to get those non-critical anchor anchor texts (Brand, URL, Mis…[Read more]

If I can find an aged domain with a somewhat relevant name and even a little bit of link juice, then I’ll use that over a brand new domain. It doesn’t work all the time… sometimes they simply just don’t rank. But when they do… it’s like it was 2012 again and you can rank in a week.
