I treat them just like regular money sites and just hit them with PBNs.

About a year ago, they used to be spammable but that stopped being effective.

Try the Hide My Wp plug in.  Erases all the WP structure in the HTML code.

Expired and expiring domains.  MUCH cheaper.

If I can find an aged domain with a somewhat relevant name and even a little bit of link juice, then I’ll use that over a brand new domain.  It doesn’t work all the time… sometimes they simply just don’t rank.  But when they do… it’s like it was 2012 again and you can rank in a week.
