  • Working fine here guys – make sure your boxes can handle being hit by so many crawlers at once or limit the size of your sitemap altogether.  if it takes google too long to crawl your site they’ll just give up… pigeon had nothing to do with their indexing algorithms – it was a search modifier for local results in SERPS and google maps.

    Those stats stay in a cache that is refreshed every 24-48 hours – it’s still subscribed in your account but will not appear in the bottom of the forums for a few days.  Trying to take as much load off the server as possible to make the forums load fassssssttttt :)

    Ok, for doing the 301 redirects you have a few options:

    hard code in the redirects yourself (custom code on the 404 filter to redirect to homepage – this can go in your theme’s functions.php file), but there are plugins that do this already cool
