CPSG posted in the topic Theme with serp shaker in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 1 month ago
Andrew and Jake have mentioned a number of times that they have tested various themes and twenty-twelve is still the best. Their tests have literally been run on millions of pages.
I have run a few tests on that theme using a header and no header for adsense. Click thru has been consistently higher with no header.
For adsense, simple is…[Read more]

CPSG posted in the topic Using Brand Names for Products…SS Adsense Question in the forum General 10 years, 1 month ago
Matt is correct. It sounds like you were just talking about using the brand name as part of the title. Look at all the reviews on almost any product. The brand and product model is always front and center as the title.

Let it run as is and have some patience. Since over 1K have been indexed so far, Google will get around to indexing the rest.

CPSG posted in the topic Ranking for Life Insurance? in the forum SEO 10 years, 2 months ago
I don’t run with the Big SEO dogs, so I wouldn’t touch either one. I think even Life Insurance Agent City State is too competitive.
If this job has your tongue hanging out, it will only cost you a few bucks and a few hours to put up a 15K city-state site to see how it ranks. If it ranks, you’ll be in a strong bargaining position to offer to…[Read more]

CPSG posted in the topic Adsense Update 25 September 2014 in the forum General 10 years, 3 months ago
Just curious how many total web pages you have published to make $15-20 a day? By the way, do you earn an average of $15 a day?
I sure miss the old days when earning $300-500 a day on adsense with 1000 pages was easy to do.

If anyone is playing around with anything requiring lists for a large distribution of first name shortcodes and last name shortcodes, you can get a mega list for female first names, male first names, and general surnames – here:

CPSG posted in the topic WP Plugin needed: Make Each of My SS Posts Look Like a Home Page (sorta) in the forum General 10 years, 3 months ago
I want it for affiliate offers. Take a look at a typical CPA landing page – These pages are constantly being improved and tested and that’s what I’m talking about. I could download one and then recode it for my purposes.
I know I could use DA but I’ll be putting multiple offers on it and a few other things I’m developing. I can’t do that if I…[Read more]

CPSG started the topic WP Plugin needed: Make Each of My SS Posts Look Like a Home Page (sorta) in the forum General 10 years, 3 months ago
Most all my SS affiliate site posts look really plain jane. I’d like to dress them up a bit to see if it helps CTR at all. I’ve seen some competitive sites that are hitting all the city-state combos like we do with SS. Each city post has the same content and affiliate banners but from their appearance I figure they must be a custom coding jo…[Read more]

CPSG posted in the topic Are you publishing your wordpress user name and don’t know it? in the forum General 10 years, 3 months ago
Thanks, Ann. I suspect my problem might be isolated to the theme I was using. I have also changed the theme. If buggy in one place, it might be buggy in others
Unfortunately, my passwords have grown as much out of control and as numerous as hack attempts. I’ve been using LastPass to track mine and it seems pretty good.

Hackers are going nuts these days. They’re more active than I’ve ever seen them before. Sometimes I get over 300 hack attempts daily on certain sites. Blocking IPs doesn’t really help that much and it only slows them down a bit because they have a pool of over a million IPs to use.
I usually don’t worry too much because I have strong user n…[Read more]

CPSG posted in the topic Cloudflare settings in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 4 months ago
If CF didn’t read the ftp and automatically populate the field, and you need to set it up, then A record will work. Try it, you can always delete it. I did it that way and it works fine. I set the domain to http://ftp.mydomain.com in filezilla.

CPSG started the topic How do you pick the right VPS? in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 4 months ago
Going from shared service to VPS can be confusing. There are a lot of options to consider – Managed or not? High ram or high storage? Cpanel? etc.
I’ve already decided that I’m moving off shared hosting. I’ve been with my current hosting company since 2003 and might move to their VPS since they would move everything over for me.
I don’t w…[Read more]

Set up ftp as an A record. When you ftp into your site you’ll have to use http://ftp.yourdomain.com – it goes directly to your site, not thru CF.

It looks right. But I assume you plan on using short codes for city, state, zip, and company type? The schema works fine with short codes in it.
