CPSG posted in the topic Maximum Number of Subdomains? in the forum SEO 10 years, 4 months ago
I think Andrew (maybe Don) mentioned they had experimented with subdomains with no improvement in results over current methodology. That said, I don’t think they tried a tiered approach on main and long tail as you are suggesting.
It would be interesting to test it out although a single test wouldn’t be significant either way.
Are you…[Read more]

Cut the crap.
If you’re not going to disclose something, don’t mention it.
And don’t send affiliate links.

As to the original comment about self-ranking, Don posted an interesting comment on FB and doubled down on his original comment about not using links:
Here’s his post:
“We’ve had some questions like:
“Can we drip feed these posts over time?”
“Should we backlink?”Along with many other questions…
The feature is in there (for…[Read more]

Thanks for confirming that, Paul.
I have ranked sites for clients in mid-sized cities in competitive markets with minimal linking. Two I can think of are a family medical doctor and the other was for a pro golfer and golf lessons. For some reason those popped up on Google and have stayed in the top three organic plus the 7 pack with only a…[Read more]

I bought SS with realistic expectations and also for the same reason as you – time
I think one of the early posts on FB mentioned the sites were ranking without linking, but I’m not certain. However, I went ahead and put up the initial batch of links on 3 of my sites with 20-50 links on each site dripped over 2 weeks.
However, since p…[Read more]

A week is not long enough to make a judgement if SS sites will actually self-rank without a lot of effort and backlinks.
I’ve built 4 sites over the past few days – 2 local cosmetic surgery sites and 2 state mortgage sites. I know these are very competitive niches. So far, I’ve got a few page one spots on Yahoo and Bing for local results, but…[Read more]

CPSG posted in the topic My Spinner is Better than Your Spinner in the forum General 10 years, 5 months ago
I bought 5 articles from iwriter a while back just to see the quality. All five were either very poorly written or very poorly spun, or both. When I rejected one, I got a nasty note from the “author” who questioned if I had a brain or not. I forwarded it to iwriter and got a note back they banned the guy.

Nice job on the comparison, Garratt
I’m surprised that spin chimp scored higher in vocab than did spin rewriter.

If you want to check the overall quality of your spun articles or your original content, paperrater.com does a good job of grading your article. The last content I checked that came from spin rewriter got a grade of 77, a grade of C on college level. Not bad and acceptable for Serp Shaking it.
The software dinged the article on “Pl…[Read more]

Wondering if anyone else has experience with fcs networker (facsnetworker.com)? I’ve used them for about a year and had good luck with getting small local sites (5 to 10) ranked. I have a number at #1 to #5 on fairly competitive local keywords. Never tried links for state or national.

I’m probably the only one on the planet who doesn’t know what SerpShaker is and what it does.
I do know it’s being released soon but that’s about all I know.
Can someone shed some light on this?
