Jason,
You say pages in your forum post instead of post.
The reason for asking is if you built your whole 2000+ pages out of pages instead of using categories and then post under them, that is the reason your site is running so slow.
Pages are handled differently by WordPress than posts, a pages eat a whole bunch of resources while post…[Read more]

We are going live with that webinar early next week. You should time to get your domains in order and have everything ready or near ready to g…[Read more]

Ray,
We usually use the PBN to point to our main page, but it really depends on what you are looking to accomplish. What is on the internal pages? Are they different locations?

SLL is simply the name of the product, SErp Landlord. It is not meant to designate a speicific type of website so much as it is meant to be the name of the product they are selling. When they build your SLL website it is a standard WP website but using their genius when they set it up. They do a couple of things in a unique way but after all is…[Read more]

Jason,
Your hands on definitely not tied. Do you have your site done? IA works, but on larger sites, on shared hosting there is an issue. If your site is done before the update comes out, I will personally index your website out for you

Ray,
Personally I would only use the PBN to send links to the main page.

I have a small site that has a SILO structure and around 20 pages. I was wondering where you would send PBN links to? Would you send them all to the home page (anchor text being a variation of the url of the site) so the link juice trickles down to the others? Or would you link directly to each page you want to rank with kw as anchor text? I am t…[Read more]

Brian,
It does help and it makes sense. I know the huge SLL sites are one long silo and emulating Andy and Jake hasn’t been a bad thing.

I’m trying to learn all I can, especially about building SLL sites and using the software here. Right now I am building small sites (less than 20 posts and pages) and trying to insure I do them right. I have built one site with 10 pages and seemed to do something right as one page landed on page one of google within 48 hours. Still waiting for the…[Read more]

I welcome a Penguin refresh BUT…. I didn’t welcome the Authorship image to go away… That is a HUGE hit! But this means we need to focus on other Rich Snippets…
Review snippets perhaps? I would say a big HELL YA!
