I know this is an old Post and noted a lot of frustration.
An old pilot saying – “there are old pilots and bold pilots, but few old, bold pilots.”
Well as a former micro-coder, assembly language programmer I can tell you with certainty that one great programmer produces usable, reliable, maintainable code that cannot be duplicated by 30…[Read more]

Scott,
A belated reply to your question which somewhat confirms Joan’s version (although not is as much detail.)
I have an eCommerce Client where we know with absolute certainty precisely what is being purchased in real-time. Some orders are manually entered (for instance through customer service adjustments) although most are via the…[Read more]

Regarding concern about no guarantee – not knowing whether this product is any good or not – I do know quite a lot about credit card processing policies. Almost all traditional credit card companies take the consumer’s side whenever a charge is disputed (i.e. AMEX, MC, Visa) – so if you are unhappy with the product’s results, just dispute it.…[Read more]

Yes they are similar – our experience has been that it is less expensive for medium traffic sites, the owner (Dennis) is quite active and makes himself available for questions or problems if you have any setup problems (or issues with the tech folks).
I also found a website called EyeQuant.com which gives a very interesting AI snapshot of…[Read more]

OK great – thanks for clarification (I didn’t have a vote on the main site design! It was cast in concrete before I showed up.)

G4B,
I hadn’t realized that targeting one KW per EMD might be better – here is what I had been thinking:
Let’s say the branded site were: http://www.online.com with languages available within the site setup like this
http://www.online.com/es/
http://www.online.com/fr/
etc.We also would have the TLDs http://www.online.es http://www.online.fr etc
From a website…[Read more]

G4B,
Thanks for the response.
Agree with Link Juice comment – ha, ha.
Think I will take a 3 phase approach due to timing:
First phase – simply 301 redirect EMDs from the ISP (this is fast and gets things going)
Second phase – create mini-silos one-by-one for each EMD and then redirect from each mini-silo to the main site (that takes…[Read more] -

I am not a tax accountant or lawyer, just a business guy. That said, I’ve been around the block and observed the following:
LLCs are treated as partnerships for tax purposes (that basically means the income and losses flow through to you on your tax returns)
A single person LLC may provide legal protection but has issues from a tax…[Read more] -

This entire thread is quite informative. I also accidently stumbled onto SEMEasy and this forum by reading the TOS agreement for SourceLandLord, which I did not purchase for many reasons, none of which relate to the quality of the service.
The biggest problem I see with SourceLandLord is that you will not own the underlying links / Link Juice,…[Read more]

We’ve had great success with convert.com and it is a better economic deal for A/B testing relative to some of the other services especially if you’re running over 10,000 visitors / month. We’ve also found their support to be quite helpful.

Very helpful discussion.
I have a client with an existing PHP website that is quite large. Do you know of any mapping software that would help visualize how the internal pages link and where the link juice goes?
