BigHappy posted in the topic Is there any real problems building your PBN with .nets and .orgs in the forum SEO 10 years, 4 months ago
Thanks Dennis, I paid more than I wanted but I wanted to get my first site under my belt. I’ll be a bit more stingy with my next purchase.

Thanks Jason. Probably do that int eh future. What I do now is pick a price I’m comfortable with, place that as my top and then see what happens.
Just won my first domain. I now have a PBN of 1. Wooo Hooo, now let’s see if it’s legit.

They were mostly PR0, PR1 and PR2’s. I bid less than $30 on each of them. Just kind of experimenting and I wasn’t home for the end of the auctions or I may have put in another bid. They all sold for exactly one bid past my high bid.

I guess I’m doing something right. I’ve been outbid on every site I showed interest in.
Onward.

Thanks Eliza. I think I’ve learned enough to tell if the back links look natural so I feel pretty confident there. As for the first part, back links vs IP addresses, do you have a ratio you like, 10 to 1, 100 to 1. One of my problems is I’m a bit of a number lover. I love having a metric to measure things to. It got me through 30 years as an Air…[Read more]

One of the things I’m trying to figure out is where the PR0 and PR1’s are that are really PR3 or 4’s. I’m just trying to figure out what other metrics to look at that would be an indicator. Someone in a post said they like the MozRank to be higher than the PR number. Above Jason says he likes the PA and DA (those ar both Moz rankings,…[Read more]

See the reason I’m unsure about this is I know I have no idea what I’m doing when buying expiring domains. All these numbers and I think I know what they mean but when I start looking at them my level of confidence dwindles.
So I’m looking at a .org site with numbers like these PR 0 (can’t rely on this number, I remember that), trust flow 23,…[Read more]

When I search through PRPowershot it seem sthe .nets and .orgs don’t quite draw the attention of the .coms. While I know most people prefer .coms domains is there any real problem with other domains (ie. .net, .info, .org, etc.) in your PBN. Do they not hold PR as well? Are they more or less trustworthy?
Just trying to expand my knowledge…[Read more]

BigHappy started the topic The name of a domain in the forum Domains 10 years, 4 months ago
I’ve found a site I like. The domain has a word in it that fits into some of my silo sites. However, when looking at archive.org they used the word with a different meaning. An example would be mouse. I used the word mouse to indicate a small, furry animal but they used it to mean a small mechanical device used with computers.
Would t…[Read more]

What is everyone (anyone’s) opinion on the Domain Authority number with Moz. Do you trust it? Is there a certain number you like to see? Does Lebron James piss you off?
Thanks

Isn’t the on-page SEO already done on SLL sites? Please tell me yes, I don’t want to do anything to 270,000 posts.

I like the idea of booths at local conferences or shows. Since I focus mainly on local SEO (county wide) I could see setting up booth at say the local home and garden show. You can have already ranked several sites for various home and garden niches (concrete, kitchen makeovers, patios. etc.) and try to sell them right there. They walk out of…[Read more]

I would love to see more training materials. I never saw this site as SEO101. I always saw it more as a graduate course and for people who have cut their teeth elsewhere. Granted I wish there were all inclusive training here that started from day one and walked you through their whole program here. However, the things I’ve leanred here aren’t…[Read more]

BigHappy started the topic Buying sites for my PBN in the forum SEO 10 years, 4 months ago
This is my attempt to learn to buy old sites and build a PBN. This is how I see a couple of sites I looked at and would appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to give.
I used PR Powershot and found
FINDINGYOUROWNHOME.COM
It is a PR2 ( I know I shouldn’t count on this).
It is over 5 years old.
It has 444 backli…[Read more]

Nick posted in the topic Adsense! Who is interested in learning more about Adsense? in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 4 months ago
So if we wanted to add Adsense to the unsold states on a SLL site, I assume we’d have to create some page that losely resembles whatever niche our nationwide SLL site is about, then add Adsense to that?
So maybe create a review page of some similar product on Clickbank, then add Adsense to that?

Nick posted in the topic Always more questions – DA, KW Tracking in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 4 months ago
I’m still not at a place with tracking that I like. I’ve added a handful of keywords that I know are on page 1 to MOZ ranking tool and it updates it for me so I can show a client the report monthly, but I have to find the page 1 results manually then add them. It works well enough, but it takes consistent updating. If you search the forums there’s…[Read more]

BigHappy started the topic Adsense Webinar- It looks too easy in the forum SEO 10 years, 4 months ago
Okay, I jsut watched the adsense webinar and it seems too easy. Couple of questions
Do you just put the ads on the ugly looking SLL sites or do you redirect to a prettier looking landing page?
Is there any SLL site building training coming up?
Thanks
