Mark Upshaw started the topic Google Map Embed for Local Pages in the forum SEO 10 years, 3 months ago
Here is a possible solution for embedding a google map on your local pages. I am still testing it, but the first test was fine. There is a shortcode for city already built in. I copied and pasted into the page under the text tab.
2nd test was using the javascript shortcode…did not work for me.

Mark Upshaw posted in the topic Really disappointed in SerpShaker support in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 3 months ago
SerpShaker support has been very supportive with me. Answering each request within 24 hours. Last night, they responded within minutes and I finally got SS to work for me. 300+ pages in 30 less than a minute.

Mark Upshaw posted in the topic Very specific Question for Andrew about Niche selection in the forum SEO 10 years, 3 months ago
I use the largest metro area nearest where I want to rank, for example Los Angeles. Then I will use several of the cities in the area from 100,000 up to 500,000 like Downey and Pasadena.

So, not really different from what we know we should or could do anyway:
1. Setting Up Google Authorship and your Google Local site and filling it out
2. Set up as many Directory sites like Yelp.
Black Hat: using different numbers and addresses add multiple listings in each major directory like Yelp.

Mark Upshaw posted in the topic Do/would you ever do free SEO work? in the forum General 10 years, 4 months ago
If you won’t do pro bono work for your family, then you shouldn’t do it for a stranger.
There must be a leverage point so that they know that they are receiving value. Because everyone knows that those that work for free are desperate.
But fortunately, you have the answer right here if you have access to the the software. Sim…[Read more]

I am not Andrew, but more like the George Foreman grill. On the physical product side you might want to consider those specific products that are not readily available at Walmart, Target, Nordstrom or whatever chains operate in the selected area. For example, an obsidian scrying mirror, model xyz Gerber toddler chair, etc. (These examples may be…[Read more]
