    Andrew,

my SLL site seems to have tanked after having 1000’s of #1 rankings.  I have previously submitted this as a support ticket but have not heard anything back.

This site is leased and I have to provide a monthly SEO report to the client at the end of this month so I am up the creek and I need you to give me a p…

Your list look JUST like the list from the place that I recommend!  That is awesome!  This is a great list.

If you could shoot me a PM, I wanted to talk to you about a few options that I would like to know if you would be able to offer. I know that it would be REALLY beneficial to the members.

I have seen people ranking with one s…[Read more]

  • Kevin,

You adding keywords, could have caused the silo to break, yes.  But what we are seeing now after MUCH digging (as you can imagine) is that yes, someone else putting analytics on their sites brought direct eyeballs from Google to not only their website but to the server that many sites were sitting on.  That is correct.

  • Mike,

Google Authorship doesn’t open the tracking pixels.  That is really schema markup.  So i would say that it is fine and we have even tested it.  Seems to work just fine.  But Analytics or webmaster tools, is a NO NO!  As we can see :)

  • Well, I wanted to give an update.  We have been looking into what was causing some members to have issues.  It turns out that we had three members that thought they were smarter than everyone else.  They went ahead and added Google Analytics to their sites, manually.

Well, you can see the results.  Google actually hit the server that…[Read more]

  • Sam,

Of there is a video in the sidebar, it will not index using the video sitemap process.  The plugin is done and in beta.  Jake will nbe giving more information either today or tomorrow.

The video actually need to be in the body of the content in order for a video sitemap to work.  So you would actually need to go ahead and add videos ma…[Read more]

Mark Upshaw first compiled this list or a list very similar.  It is a huge resource!

Where you can truly dominate in the serps, is when you try to stay out of the home service based businesses.  Like Contracting stuff, etc… You try to do physical products and with SLL style sites, you just plain dominate.  VERY few people are actually doi…[Read more]

Nick I am getting a Page not found error on that link.

I would like to check it out, as depending on where the PR is distributed to, it could be very, very helpful.  I am looking for something very specific. :)

Let me know when the site is up and I would love to take a look.

  • Hey guys, we have been playing with different tweaks to the site builds.  It turns out just a few simple tweaks, and a little background coding has given us incredible results.

If anyone is having an issue with their SLL site, let me know.  We have done a bunch of rebuilds for anyone having an issue, but I need to know you are having an i…[Read more]

  • When it comes to the Awaiting approvals.

That means that someone did not complete the payment process.  So that could mean that it was a Spam bot trying to fill out the form, or a real person who just decided not to pay.  Either way, it is someone who did not make the payment through paypal.

When you get this, I would take a look a…[Read more]

  • Many people ask whether should get an EMD or not.  It is not a really easy question to answer without some knowledge of your final goal first

First off, is this for you simply for rankings?  Is this for a Brick and Mortar business?  Are you trying to build a brand?  What is the EMD availability?  Are you going to have to pay through the back…[Read more]

  • Nick,

@jake has been working on a fix for the state lease in one shot.  Let me check with him and hopefully he can chime in.

  • Guys, there are so many reasons why sites would bounce around.  It is not the SLL site itself, it is Google.  The SLL sites are not the magic bullet and a 100% guarantee to knock it out of the park anytime.

How many of you have built a site and then it lost steam?  I know I have too many to count and I am not talking about SLL sites.  I h…[Read more]

I am experiencing the same – rankings were positive for many cities during first 4 weeks. Now site has pretty much tanked and not ranking at all for many of the keywords it was ranking for originally. i am now worried that because of the spun content across the site, I have been slapped with a Panda penalty.

    Can’t continue to pay…

  • Big,

Not sure, it could be an issue that the Silo was broken somewhere in the mix.

Send me a PM and let’s figure it out.

  • @allweb   Cranking it!

Can you talk about how difficult it was to get in touch with the company or how the conversation went?  I think that many people are afraid of that conversation, and would love to hear in your own words, how it went.

This is the issue.  You are getting the amount of traffic that the niche yields.  I use this same system on all of my offline businesses.  I am happy for any and all traffic that I get, many of them have turned into HUGE clients.   I know that we have a personal injury lawyer in the BRONX, NY.  Yeah over 1 million people, and he is #1 for Bronx…[Read more]

  • Hahaha.. Yeah you might need to speak to Jake in reference to the programming for that one!

No this is pretty wild though!  Jake has been plugging away and we have laid out the structure and some of the programming is done, but we need to continue to run our tests.

We use this ourselves, but use it on a server level, but wanted to…[Read more]

  • What is funny is that I deal with Google on a regular basis.  I am invited down to their New York City office quite a bit.  THe Adwords Team has no communication with other teams, and most of the teams do not know what the other teams in Google are doing.l
