    Another big thing is determining what caused your penalty. The two big ones are panda and penguin, trust me panda accounts for a lot more penalties than you think.     I haven’t used source pilot myself but any auto seo service shouldn’t be over-optimizing anchor texts at all anymore. A good rule of thumb is to only use 1 anchor per keyword and then use related terms. Even then only about 30% of your total anchors should be commercial keywords.
