If you are from an ETA or EVV approved country, there is no need to make a paper application or visit an Australian embassy. You can apply online for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) or an E-Visitor Visa here.

Once the Australian Government has processed your travel authority, we’ll send you a notification. As your visa is linked to your passport electronically, you will not require a stamp. Visa stamps are no longer issued in passports.

Australian travel authorities are usually valid for 12 months (unless your passport expires sooner), and will allow you to stay in Australia for up to three months per visit.

If you do not qualify for an ETA or EVV, you may be eligible for a Visitor Visa.
