Andrew Dale posted in the topic CloudFlare is only different C class hosting. in the forum SEO 10 years, 1 month ago
No, because these IPs are shared by millions of sites. Google is very familiar with Cloudflare and knows that there are millions of sites have their DNS running through it.
That is actually the point. You are simply hiding in plain view. If millions of people have the same nameserver, how do you group them?
I can tell you that we ha…[Read more]

Andrew Dale posted in the topic ARCHIVED WEBINARS?? in the forum General 10 years, 2 months ago
There were issues with corrupted files on some of them, but Jake thinks he may have figured out how to unscrew them and salvage them.
We do make every effort to record them, but we can’t always guarantee that there won’t be an issue:)

Thanks Mark, we try to stay honest to ourselves and not pitch anything and everything… Those things that are good, I have no probably endorsing and not putting an affiliate link to it.

Peter,
The plugin runs validation checks but it triggered by at least 1 site visitor within a certain period of time. If there is zero activity on a website for a prolonged period, yes the plugin will deactivate.

Andrew Dale posted in the topic Double Agent No Longer Visible in the forum DoubleAgent (2x) 10 years, 2 months ago
Yes, just activate it through the server or look in your Plugins section under disabled plugins. If it is not there simply reinstall it. Nothing has changed on our end, so not sure why you would have the disappearing issue. The settings are stored in your database, so once you reinstall the setting will still be there.

Any ideas?

Andrew Dale posted in the topic Is there a metric I can use when looking for a niche? in the forum Niches 10 years, 2 months ago
It is hard to put a metric on it. There are a bunch of moving parts… First is: what are you building? Is this is Landlord style site? How big? etc..
The second are you going to build link to it? What do the other keywords in the niche look like? What does the competition look like?
It is more of a feeling of what the landsc…[Read more]

Peter,
I like to land around about 1K words… You can do a little less or more, but around a thousand seems to work the best after the amount of testing that I have done.
Sincerely,

Andrew Dale posted in the topic Post Tags Best Practice in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 2 months ago
Peter,
Tag pages right now often rank better than the main page. It just happens. The best practice is to grab a bunch of related keywords and put them in as tags, and then let google do with them as they will…
Don’t add your main keyword to them, Google will then start to rank your main keyword shortly aft…[Read more]

Hi Billy
I based in NZ too, over the years I just keep adding to the list the different business directories and review sites, and industry specific ones. Basically those that show up for companies one the first several pages.
I have a staff member manually go through and add a company to those sites where they aren’t yet listed. And where…[Read more]

I had a friend mention they had a site that was stuck for over a month no matter what they did.
What they did do though was to continue building links as they had before.
Then jsut the other day, all of a sudden it’s like they all took affect and his site jumped to #5 on page 1 for hi smain highly competitive 20K a month keyword.
So, my…[Read more]

Steve Vale posted in the topic Cloud PBN Plugin in the forum SEO 10 years, 2 months ago
If you’re looking for something to manage your PBN’s then get Main WP, it’s free to use from the WP Plugins.
The if you want to extend it they sell the extension for typically around $20.
I’ve been using it since it was called Sick Network, when it was way too buggy. Now however I run multiple installs of it for the different groups of sites…[Read more]

Steve Vale posted in the topic What to do with links to your money site now that Google passes link juice through Bitly? in the forum General 10 years, 2 months ago
Slightly off topic:
In a test I did over a month or 2 ago, I 301 redirected several domains to individual bit.ly urls, which then linked to a site.
I was not expecting to see the original domains show up in Majestic, however it and the bit.ly urls both showed in the backlinks to the site being linked to by the bit.ly urls.

I manually sign up for an account for each site.
For the email address I use plus addressing, eg steve+mydomain-com@gmail.com
That way I can have one email address and use it for all sites and they are named in a consistent way that I know what the log in will be for any PBN site.
Of all the DNS info that CloudFlare suggests, I delete all…[Read more]

@Kenny re: tools to use
Here’s what I do to build out my PBN sites:
1. I have a template site built with the WordPress core and plugins configured to how I like them, and only have the default (most recent) WordPress theme
2. I have a library of 30+ free themes I’ve stored up over the past year or 2 or building PBN sites that I use and…[Read more]

Yes this is correct. I leave the FTP on grey while I am working on the site, for easy uploads, but then after I am done it goes right back to orange. When the cloud is orange that means that cloudflare is “protecting” the site. If you leave your ftp greyed out then the bruteforce attack would be hitting your ftp account rather than hitting th…[Read more]
