  • OK. Daniel posted at General Discussions an exact method to know all your rankings for the top 1000 cities in the US.

Fantastic. Go over there and look. I followed his instructions and now can see all my rankings. Totally helpful.

    Major kudos to Daniel!

  • OK. Here’s my two dollars worth:

Look for a niche that is a little offbeat, not too mainstream, not too narrow either. But narrow is relative.

I went through the entire posted list. I found lots of great niches. I think one winning formula is to pick a niche that’s a service business with an easily imagined small business person at the…[Read more]

  • Thanks Daniel,

Wow. That was totally helpful. Now I know how my site is doing (today).

I have 12 page ones, and another 138 on page 2. Cool.

Now I get to watch to see them climb!

Also, if anyone is interested in going deeper, I found a list of the top 5000 cities…[Read more]

  • Hey Everyone,

It seems to me the sales process is going to depend almost entirely on the ability to know exactly which pages are ranking on Google Page 1s. Yes?

So how do I get a detailed ranking report for all my pages?

Can anyone guide me to a solution?

    Thanks in advance!!!

    stay sunny,

    Gregory

  • Hi Cecelia,

Yes. I’m interested. I’ve got good rankings, although I’m still not sure how to get a detailed report. Need more sales.

    Phone: 612.799.2092

Thanks much. Looking forward to working together!

Vince I don’t know if this is the ‘right’ way but this is what I would do…

    1. check out the sitemap of your SLL website and find a town you think your client would want to rank in

    2. copy the URL of that post  (yourSLLdomain.com/bed-bug-treatment-baden-pennsylvania-15005-pest-control-in-pennsylvania.html)

    3. go to Google and type in…[Read more]

“Any ideas on how much would be reasonable to ask for? I was originally thinking selling whole states for $500, but now I am just hoping I could get 5 states at $100/month, which sucks cause I will undercut myself overall.”

Bryan you are sounding desperate!  Nothing drives away potential clients faster than the smell of desperation!

  • Very excellent and lucid idea Cecilia. I may contact you about this. I’ve got some things churning :) I’m sure others will be delighted to hear this offer.

Good day Big Daddy D (like the name), currently at the moment there is a transition from Source Land Lord to Serp Land Lord which will be organized by Jake and Andy here at SEMeasy. As far as other options for siloed sites the LL sites are pretty darn good and one of a kind. That is my personal opion. Hope you have a great day.

Yep I love to see how others are doing, so here goes it for my results – so far…

I have a National site also.  I’m in the water conditioner market.

The timing was great for me as I have one client with an e-commerce site who wanted to get broad exposure into the US market.

My site went to 5K indexed pages to 400 and then up to 40K i…[Read more]

  • As Google is supposedly not recognizing PR anymore it’s important to use other criteria for assessing whether or not a previously.

Nate’s post is a good guide.

I have a reputable friend, Bill Angelos, who sells domains for your PBN that are high PA/DA.

Check out his site http://www.highpadomains.com  You’ll find him very reasonable.

  • I agree with you Matt – keep it simple.

Cecilia I learned a lot about silos by just looking at the SLL structure with their categories and tags.  That just made so much sense to me.

They are obviously successful with that simple way of doing things – so I copied it.  And it worked for me!

    Cheers!

  • Don’t sweat the details. There is no “one” silo that is correct. There are many silo strategies that work just fine. Try and think about it this way. You’ve got a straight line with an arrow on the end of it. That line is moving through your site. Where do I want that arrow to end up at? The path of that line is the link juice flow. That is the…[Read more]

  • emediaukcom you are correct. A silo built correctly will require far less links. It’s just about seeing how the link juice flows through the site and where it ends up. Proper internal linking will help you control that.

  • Hi,

Cecilia Im not in the USA either, I’m in Australia.  I have built a client site that targets one region in one state of Australia and it’s about 4 months old.  The site is an e-commerce site and had less than 20 pages.  It’s a very thin market and as I had done only 3 local backlinks I decided to test the silo + towns + keywords co…[Read more]

  • Backlinks are not always backlinks. That being said, 1000 comment backlinks will not perform as well as say 10 backlinks from 10 domains with high domain authority. I’ll choose the 10 backlinks any day. So to the core of your question if backlinks will help, yes, of course they will. If you have good backlinks and you point them to the right…[Read more]
