I agree, I think selling by the county might be a great way to go. Honestly, I am not looking forward to the time it will take me on a nationwide site, however like you said this is a one time investment and well worth it.

For me I have no more than 10 posts on my PBN sites.  That limits my OBL (out bound links) to a maximum of 30.  Per post that means 1 link to a relevant authority site and 2 links (max) to my money site.

It’s not necessary to use silos because you DONT want these sites to rank, just to pass link juice.
