with regards to the example above the originating site isnt getting the credit – on this one the applegate pages have taken over the customers site, more worrying is the customers sites rankings have dropped dramatically

    Hi David

Thanks for this. The DA buttons do not take me back to the post that the tag is attached to – they generate 404 errors. I will log another ticket via the link on this site

Can I assume that the support link from the DA plugin is not operational in this case?

    Thanks

  • It’s inevitable, you’ll get somebody on the phone. Don’t be surprised by their questions, prepare your script, especially if you don’t make calls on a regular basis. Imagine what questions they will ask and make sure you have already practiced the answer, even if your only talking to yourself.

    Here’s one of my starters.

  • Sam3,

This is what I found out from trying to duplicate your problem with DA.

    Problem is I can’t.

I am not a WordPress expert but while tag pages are indexed by Google they really are not pages by themselves but links back to a tag on post that they tag is attached to for search purposes.

In my site with DB activated and I click on…[Read more]

  • Nick,

What happened to get your account shut down with that many apps.

That must be hard to lose that kind of income.

Hey guys, sometimes, Google kicks you in the teeth.. The question, who gets back up after they get knocked down…

I had 1,000+ mobile apps making me $700-$1000 a DAY and Google shut down my account.  It was almost enough to make me go get a job.

    Almost.

  • Sam3,

For support I just clicked on the Support button at the top of this page and it worked great, file a support ticket.

I will see if I can duplicate your problem on my site and get back to you.

    hi

feel your pain – problem is ho do say you cant use GA because you dont want google looking at the sites.

sounds very black hat – soon as any one thinks it or a competitor mentions it your goosed

    Andrew,

my SLL site seems to have tanked after having 1000’s of #1 rankings.  I have previously submitted this as a support ticket but have not heard anything back.

This site is leased and I have to provide a monthly SEO report to the client at the end of this month so I am up the creek and I need you to give me a p…

Andrew, can you be a bit more specific?  Are you talking more about things like leads for a business to business product like a tool sold to a dentist, or business t consumer like a Foreman Grill?

  • I’m glad I saw this post.

I would NEVER add Google anything to my site. I HATE Google with a passion, lol. (another story) I don’t use GA and for my blog networks I don’t use webmaster tools or anything…

I like to use “clicky” for analytics, and it is added with a plugin. Would there be any problem using that? I have a client who is…[Read more]

If you could shoot me a PM, I wanted to talk to you about a few options that I would like to know if you would be able to offer. I know that it would be REALLY beneficial to the members.

  • Kevin,

You adding keywords, could have caused the silo to break, yes.  But what we are seeing now after MUCH digging (as you can imagine) is that yes, someone else putting analytics on their sites brought direct eyeballs from Google to not only their website but to the server that many sites were sitting on.  That is correct.

  • Andrew,

I don’t understand something. Did someone else using Google Analytics cause my site to drop rankings or is it something I did. I did go on about 60 of my pages and added some keywords. I’m asking as I don’t want to make any mistakes that are going to affect me or anyone else.  Thanks

Mark Upshaw first compiled this list or a list very similar.  It is a huge resource!

Where you can truly dominate in the serps, is when you try to stay out of the home service based businesses.  Like Contracting stuff, etc… You try to do physical products and with SLL style sites, you just plain dominate.  VERY few peo…
