I know this keeps getting asked, but it keeps getting pushed back time and time again. When can we truly expect the index assault update to roll out?

I have a small site that has a SILO structure and around 20 pages. I was wondering where you would send PBN links to? Would you send them all to the home page (anchor text being a variation of the url of the site) so the link juice trickles down to the others? Or would you link directly to each page you want to rank with kw as anchor text? I am t…[Read more]

Brian,
It does help and it makes sense. I know the huge SLL sites are one long silo and emulating Andy and Jake hasn’t been a bad thing.

David,
y questions was I have an effective and working silo that is ranking. It is a very small silo with only 10 posts in it for a specific county. I want to rank for another county with the same keywords. Would you add to the existing silo? If yes would you continue it as one long silo or would you build another 8 page silo of of the…[Read more]

David

I’m trying to learn all I can, especially about building SLL sites and using the software here. Right now I am building small sites (less than 20 posts and pages) and trying to insure I do them right. I have built one site with 10 pages and seemed to do something right as one page landed on page one of google within 48 hours. Still waiting for the…[Read more]

Rich Snippets is something worth considering for sure! I know Tesco are working hard adding scheme markups to their entire site, which makes me wonder why they would do that unless their was a benefit for doing so.
Attention grabbing titles and descriptions along with as much rich snippets you can show should help increase the CTR.
I agree…[Read more]

I welcome a Penguin refresh BUT…. I didn’t welcome the Authorship image to go away… That is a HUGE hit! But this means we need to focus on other Rich Snippets…
Review snippets perhaps? I would say a big HELL YA!

Yes you could give them the url if you want. Quick answer is when you find a bit.ly link, just put a + at the end of the URL and you can see the stats.

My image was removed from the SERPS a while ago even though it was stable for sometime. It was good to hear Google has taken the images away even though I am sure the reason it was done was to increase ad revenue.
I am also expecting Penguin to rear its head again soon so I expect things to be interesting over the next few months.
