Hi all
just thought id drop an update while i was on – an hour before the last webby i added some adsense to a site i had kickin around
based on a local product search and uk towns- wasnt expecting much but got an almost instant result – search volume was low so the gain was a misely .18 pence per click.
let it run for 3 weeks and its…[Read more]

Hi
Im sure that andy did some testing on this but cant seem to find it
If you have a page created for keyword in county on a generic domain
is it possible to get listings for searches just on the keyword – assuming the user searched for county previously so the location is cached/cookied/saved
any tricks to assist this? – i guess…[Read more]

hi
without doubt the IA works and granted within varying time frames.
Some sites are almost instant and others are delayed but when google decides to process the sitemap all the posts get picked up.
Not sure if the speed is down to domains ie com/net/org (.co.uk seem to take longer) or the time when the sitemap is sent – early morning…[Read more]

hi
With regards to keyword research if you pay attention to the local queries/competition it will give you low numbers and you may not see the need to dip into the niche
i generally found the best ones to be the general terms that google shows allot of results for – within the total there will be enough local searches included, google doesnt…[Read more]

Hi Stephen
any new domains/sites will still need hosting but the difference is you may no need to totally diversify ehere they are hosted
ive been using hostnine on the reseller – allows different DC locations and mixes up the IPS very well
i assume using cloudflare with their dns details is the way to go – or an alternative like…[Read more]

emediaukcom posted in the topic Does Double Agent Work for Subdomains or Blogs in a Directory? in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 5 months ago
hi
yes it works for both –
NB – the IA doesnt on either as a multisite
IA works within a physical subdomain – but doesnt within any sub folder setup
the links in the scripts go to /wp-admin/ i tried changing them to ../wp-admin which worked but it couldnt fine the xml file to update

Hi
yep i was using smarturl.it but think i will switch back to bit.ly
NB – the reason why i switched was i still saw links appearing in WMT on the clients site
there are some shorteners that do a 302 redirect – anyone tested these?
one good thing on bitly is you can throw up a site and let it run
on the stats it will show which page…[Read more]

hi Andrew
yep all good – price point was a nice addition – IA next week and were cooking with gas
NB – is it worth creating a thread on suggestions ie collecting a list of demo requests etc
just a thought ive used https://www.uservoice.com in the past
members can add a suggestion – others can vote on it and discussions evolve

Hi
Presume these ammends get reviewed – are they likely to stick?
when you change the url do you delete the deadlink note ie {{dead link|date=August 2010}}
NB – how hard is it to create your own wiki page – thinkin if i have a customer and writing up a wiki on their brand name

emediaukcom posted in the topic Solution for Index Assault Timeout Error in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 5 months ago
Itsart said
Temporary fix: if you are running IA on your own sites and you get the error, you can get it to work but increasing the max timeout settings in php.ini file. Some hosts let you access it, hostgator doesn’t let you tweak those settings, but until there’s an IA update, I would use A2 Hosting and tweaking a custom php.ini file.hi

Nick – re your costs to manually place the state rentals
this is another reason why i use smarturl.it – the redirect covers the link to the clients site, gathers stats and if the customer drops out you can instantly change it to another.
NB – collect stats over a couple of months and next sell should be a piece of P.

saturation
far to many niches/locations – the sites on the clones arent going to rank unless they do it on partial match domains with seo on top or go for very low comp terms
one thing id like is to loose the semeasy footprints in the code so they are not as easy to find
i still be believe in letting the clone run its course – 2…[Read more]
