Hi Brian
You aren’t the first to bring up this issue. And with other unmentionedhereproducts your clients site would leak to the big G and potentially if your underlying site was penalized it could carry over.
However – DA doesn’t leak. BUT! You never know. So to cover your butt, if you use a service like bit.ly to redirect to your clients…[Read more]

Brian, there is a long answer and short answer to your question.
Short answer, ANYTHING you do to manipulate Google rankings (outside of providing great content and some onpage SEO) is considered blackhat according to Google’s TOS.
Longer answer – recommend you Google “blackhat versus whitehat SEO” so you can put together a concise response…[Read more]

BigHappy started the topic July 25th Question of the Day- Tags, Tags Tags and Why? in the forum SEO 11 years, 6 months ago
Hi All,
Trying to continue my education and sometimes it’s pretty basic. Hope this helps some of you too.
Everytime Andrew or Jake share a page from one of their real sites I devour it. I look at keyword usage, keyword frequency, local SEO usage, basically everything I can.
Today it’s about Tags.
I’ll try and explain my question as I’m…[Read more]

Thanks Ann,
They don’t. Not a single unincorporated listing in their. If it has the zip of the bigger city it looks like it gets the listing.
I guess the question is, “Does Google use unicorporated listings in local searches?”

I’ve found if you do a county search in wiki it will also list all the census designated places (these may not show up on official government lists) as well as unincorporated communities.
As an example, Alameda County (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alameda_County,_California#Communities) in California has nearly twice as many unincorporated…[Read more]

I do trade/barter work all the time. They are mainly smaller local businesses who I got involved with in the first place because I loved their product or service. They are the businesses I love working with and we mostly trade services. I also trade services with my mechanic, accountant, plumber, physical therapist etc. Some of it is SEO and…[Read more]

Kevin,
1. I have to get the name of the plugin that I use, I don’t remember it off the top of my head.
2. I put them as posts, and allow the homepage to show the last post, which will allow to have 10 posts on the homepage. Make sure the whole article shows on the main page.
More importantly, Ginger.. Mary Ann looks like she wo…[Read more]

I am not Andrew, but more like the George Foreman grill. On the physical product side you might want to consider those specific products that are not readily available at Walmart, Target, Nordstrom or whatever chains operate in the selected area. For example, an obsidian scrying mirror, model xyz Gerber toddler chair, etc. (These… -

Not sure if this addresses any of your specific issues BUT when you download the zip file from JVZoo, it’s not just the plugin zip — it is a zip file that you need to unzip to get to the Getting Started (Read Me First) pdf, several text files of cities and states AND the plugin zip.
In the “Read Me First” pdf, there are links to videos to…[Read more]

I have a couple of sites that have hits on most posts of between 1 to 25. I also have one site that show 965 hits on one post and nothing else.
What do you make of that Andrew?
Thanks

Andrew,
Two questions from your reply.
1. Do you have a “content curation auto poster plugin” you like or use?
2. Would you put the ten articles on one page or create at least ten pages with an article on each page linking from those?
Thanks, and you forgot to answer Ginger or Mary Ann.

My guidance is usually to focus your efforts only on high transaction value, high lifetime value clients. You will put in as much work effort, if not more, for lower paying clients so might as well get the most $$$ for your time.
BUT… I have had success bartering my services for their products or services (if I needed them). The tip in doing…[Read more]

Both happy! Links OFF the home page aren’t going to carry the same juice (just look at the homepage metrics in something like MajesticSEO to see). Also, too many links off and it gets diluted.
I think I need to restructure my own PBN’s. I was a bit careless in that most articles have 2-3 links out and all the articles have links. I h… -

Brian,
Thanks. I recall ( I think) someone saying that links from other than the first page don’t carry the same weight, or was it to many links don’t carry the same weight. I need to start writing this down.
When you say posts that don’t scroll off. I’m going to assume you mean don’t truncate them, just let the whole article be o…[Read more]
