Steve, you said you stick with domain brokers now. That’s an intriguing option but don’t mostly domain brokers sell expired domains? Does their downtime not bother you that Google may wipe the slate clean on them?

I watched the PBN webinar and heard about Go Daddy auctions. I heard that you can get PR 1’s for $10 or so and PR 2’s for $20-$30 & even PR 3’s for around $50? I used Register Compass to look up the GoDaddy auctions and I can’t find any “buy nows” in that range. Only in the $49 range. Were these more in the auctions than the “buy now”?

I still use Godaddy Auctions. I use PRPowershot and use my filters. Once I have a list of websites that only have back links… Then you truly have to dive in to the back links. The amount of back links was always a factor. I would use the typical as a rough guide:
PR5: 10,000 back links
PR4: 1,000 back links
PR3: 30…

As Google is supposedly not recognizing PR anymore it’s important to use other criteria for assessing whether or not a previously registered domain is worth purchasing.
Nate’s post is a good guide.
I have a reputable friend, Bill Angelos, who sells domains for your PBN that are high PA/DA.
Check out his site…
