Jake – do you prefer CentOS over Ubuntu? I’ve used both and have not been a fan of CentOS.

My server config is somewhere else, i’m only running a 2 cores with 3gb of ram. Is this going to be sufficient to power a serpshaker site? I can run my build locally and transfer to the server later.

What is preferred for server? Apache2 or nGinx?

Hmm.. so I would need to create pages that have the City & State + my keyword in them? I haven’t checked out Serp Spike yet. Has anyone else done well with local? I’d like to see what you did and how it worked out.

I know its great down there. I lived there for 3 yrs or so around 2007-10… Worked there as well.. We were in the North Coast, Sosua which is in Puerto Plata province. My buddy is still there doing real estate development. He’s building a port for cruise ships now. Really cool stuff going on there.

I’m very surprised to see this section of the forum so under utilitzed. Google uses Trust as a big factor in ranking your sites. Part of how it gets this trust is from user submitted reviews or mentions.
